Who We Are

Proactive Construction & Maintenance is a family enterprise that started out as a 100% Black Female Owned Business when Charlene Joseph registered a private company during 2012. The company expanded its ownership during 2021 when Godfrey Joseph (the current Managing Partner) acquired a 50% share of the business. Presently, the company is 100% Black Owned, 50% Black Female Owned and has a B-BBEE Level 1 Contributor Status.

The company specialises in professional property maintenance and has a CIDB grading of 1CE, 4GB PE (i.e. a potentially emerging contractor). It performs general building works (capable of executing projects with a tender value of up to R6 Million) and civil engineering work. The specialist services offered are plumbing, electrical, tiling, burglar bars, ceiling & partitioning, renovations, rubble removal, plastering, bricklaying, civils, painting, paving - all our services are offered within Hanover Park, the surrounding Cape Flats Areas, all the areas within the City of Cape Town & the Western Cape Province.
